Well I did manage to pick up Fallout 3, and I'll admit the only "WRPG" I played that wasn't over a decade old before this was Mass Effect, and I'm quite enjoying the breadth of options the game gives the player in fulfilling quest and exploring. I.E. killing someone because you think their hat would look better on you.

Also, I think the game is telling me I'm a sociopath.

Wow only four comics in and I'm already getting hate mail, which is amazing because no one knows my e-mail!

Let's read one from Will Willingston of Wisconsin:

Dear Jay,

Who decided to give you a platform to speak? Someone should tear their eyes out with a rusty, heated spoon and wedge bamboo shoots up their urethra. Please stop making comics and do us the favor of jumping onto the tracks of an oncoming train, thanks.

Will Willingston

The next one comes from a guy named Frank of Frank Systems Inc.

I used to like Apterax and rather enjoyed sharing new comic updates with my young son and daughter. That is until your comic "It's All Meat" flew in the face of my family values and sanct religious beliefs. I am deeply offended, and I sincerely hope this ways heavily on you as you sleep at night. Young Sue and Jim won't ever be the same at school, and my wife has left me. To you I bid good day, sir.

Well that's all the hate mail for today. See you next time!

Yes, I have a history in low brow humor. The term "Red Tide" appeals to me on so many levels, and is relevant to this arc in more ways than one! How? Let's find out!

Not much to say on the video gaming front. Having made my way back into the academic system as a student once more, I find myself with neither time nor money. I did however download Big Trouble on Little Earth for my cell phone. It's amusing if you like paying 5 dollars to press one button on your phone repeatedly.

First a black president in office, then a black man updates the comic, and now Schafe has a black son??? What is this world coming to???

Anyway, I titled the comic wrong, so sue me.

Still getting used to this post system Vince and Spot have set up here. If you were here at 11:33 P.M. Eastern time Wednesday night you saw me screw it up!

Look! It's the mysterious Jay! You can spot it by its beautiful black plume!

I suppose I should post something the video game related, that's what the others seem to do. So how about what the comic was based on? A delicious romp through Toluca County's scenic Shepherd's Glen, where the waters are clear, a gentle mist hangs over the town and dogs are missing their skin.

I generally had fun with this, people always get paranoid when a new team gets behind something, but in my humble opinion they pulled off all the great visuals of the craptastic movie, and combined it with a story and atmosphere that was very true to the Silent Hill game, if a bit buggy and needing a few tweaks here and there both literally in terms of programming and figuratively in fine tuning their formula.

That's all! Nothing profound to wrap up on, still figuring out this whacky update system, but prepare for a whoooole lotta me.

Thus concludes what, incidentally, turned out to be our longest multi-part story.

The punchline to this comic actually fell into my lap yesterday when a friend informed me that Dead Space would not be released in Japan on account of graphic violent content. I don't know particularly much about the game, though it looks enjoyable enough. However, I find it funny that not much more that ten years ago we were denied a wealth of Japanese games because their content was considered too mature or unsuitable for American audiences and that we have turned the tables now. What a pleasant occurence.

Anyhow, that's that. I'm not sure who will be on for Wednesday's update, but I'll see you when I see you.
